Yes — completely and permanently free. No sign-up, no subscription, no hidden fees, no ads. MumNearby was built by a Singapore mum who was tired of searching scattered Facebook groups and outdated blogs. It will always be free for every mother in Singapore.

Do I need to create an account to use MumNearby?

Accepted Answer

No account needed. Browse the full directory, search by MRT station, filter by category — all without signing up for anything. If you want to save a list of your favourite businesses, we are working on that feature. For now, screenshot or bookmark what you find.

How do I search for services near my MRT station?

Accepted Answer

Type your MRT station name (e.g. Punggol, Sengkang, Tampines) in the search bar on the homepage or directory page. You can also use the category pills to filter by service type — confinement nannies, postnatal massage, indoor playgrounds, and more. All results show the nearest MRT station for each listing.

Are the listings accurate and up to date?

Every listing is manually checked by the MumNearby team before it goes live. We verify the phone number, address, and that the business is still operating. We do regular sweeps to remove outdated or closed listings. If you find something that is wrong or out of date, please WhatsApp us at +65 8025 8908 and we will fix it within 24 hours.

Why does MumNearby show a green tick on some listings?

Accepted Answer

The green Verified tick means MumNearby has personally called or visited the business to confirm their details are current and accurate. Verified listings are checked more frequently. It is a signal that the information you are seeing has been confirmed recently — not just copied from a website.

MumNearby currently has 16 categories: Hospitals & Maternity, OB-GYN Clinics, Confinement Nanny Agencies, Confinement Food, Postnatal Massage, Lactation Consultants, Baby Gift Shops, Indoor Playgrounds, Family F&B & Kids Eat Free, Preschools & Infant Care, Nursing Rooms, Baby Classes & Enrichment, Paediatricians, Sleep Consultants, Holiday Camps, and Stroller-friendly Routes. We are adding Childminders and Mother Support Groups soon.

Can I suggest a business to be listed?

Yes — and please do. If you have found a service that should be on MumNearby and is not listed yet, tap "List a Business" on the homepage and fill in the short form. It takes 3 minutes. We review every submission and add verified ones within 5 working days.

Question 8

Is MumNearby only for Singaporean mums?

Accepted Answer

No — MumNearby is for every mother living in Singapore regardless of nationality or residency. Expat mums, PR mums, mums on Dependent Passes — all are welcome and all deserve easy access to maternal services near them.

I found an outdated or wrong listing. What should I do?

Please WhatsApp us at +65 8025 8908 or tap "Report a listing" at the bottom of any listing card. We treat every report as urgent and aim to update or remove the listing within 24 hours. Your help keeps the directory accurate for every other mum.

Is MumNearby available as a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Not yet — but the website is fully optimised for mobile and works on any phone browser. You can add it to your home screen: on iPhone tap the Share button and select "Add to Home Screen". On Android tap the three dots menu and select "Add to Home Screen". It works just like an app.

Why are some categories still being built?

Accepted Answer

MumNearby is a living directory built by one mum. Some categories like Preschools, Baby Classes, and Support Groups are being actively researched and added every week. If you see a category with few listings, it means we are still building it — not that nothing exists. Submit your suggestions and help us grow it faster.

Yes — our free weekly newsletter "MumNearby Weekly" sends a personalised weekend plan, new listings, and useful tips every Friday morning. Subscribe free via the newsletter sign-up on the homepage.

How do I get my business listed on MumNearby?

Accepted Answer

Tap "List Your Business Free" on the homepage and fill in the short submission form. It takes about 5 minutes. We review every submission, verify the details, and add approved listings within 5 working days. Basic listings are always free — there is no cost to be listed.

Is a basic listing really free? What is the catch?

Accepted Answer

There is no catch. Basic listings are permanently free. MumNearby earns revenue through optional paid tiers for businesses that want enhanced visibility — but we will never charge for a basic listing and we will never remove a free listing to push you to pay. The directory works because it is trusted, and it is trusted because it is comprehensive.

What is the difference between Free, Verified, Featured and Premium?

Free listing: your name, address, phone, MRT station, and website — live in the directory, searchable by mums, no cost. Verified Badge (SGD 29/year): MumNearby personally confirms your details and adds a green tick to your listing. Higher in search results. Annual renewal keeps your information accurate. Featured Listing (SGD 79/month): your listing appears at the top of your category, above all free listings. Includes a direct WhatsApp enquiry button, photo gallery, and the Verified badge. Cancel anytime. Premium Partner (SGD 199/month): everything in Featured plus a monthly Instagram feature post to the MumNearby community and inclusion in the weekly newsletter. For businesses with a marketing mindset that want active recommendation, not just placement.

How do I know if my listing is getting views?

Accepted Answer

Once your listing is live, we track views and WhatsApp button clicks for every Featured and Premium listing. We send you a monthly analytics report showing how many mums viewed your listing and how many tapped to contact you. Free listings do not include analytics reports — upgrade to Featured to see your data.

Can I update my listing details after it is live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. WhatsApp us at +65 8025 8908 with your updated details — new phone number, address change, new photos, updated hours — and we will update your listing within 24 hours. Featured and Premium listings get priority updates.

Question 18

My business serves mums but is not in your current categories. Can I still be listed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the submission form and select the closest category, then describe your service in the notes. We review all submissions and will either place you in an existing category or create a new one if enough similar businesses submit. MumNearby is built around what Singapore mums actually need — if you serve them, we want you listed.

Do you accept sponsored listings or paid editorial content?

Accepted Answer

We do not accept advertising in the traditional sense. MumNearby is ad-free and will stay that way. Paid tiers (Verified, Featured, Premium) are about placement and visibility within the directory — not about publishing sponsored content that looks editorial. We will never mark a paid listing as recommended or editorially endorsed. Paid placement is always clearly a paid placement.

How long does it take to get listed after I submit?

We review and respond to all submissions within 5 working days. If we have questions we will WhatsApp you directly. If your submission is approved you will receive a WhatsApp confirmation when your listing goes live.

Can I list multiple locations or outlets?

Accepted Answer

Yes — each location should be a separate listing with its own address and MRT station. This is better for mums (they find the outlet nearest them) and better for you (more listings = more visibility). Submit each location separately using the listing form.

I run a home-based or small business. Is MumNearby for me?

Accepted Answer

Especially for you. Large platforms and editorial sites like Sassy Mama and HoneyKids tend to feature established names. MumNearby was built to surface the full landscape of Singapore maternal services — including small, home-based, and newer businesses. Many of the best lactation consultants, confinement food caterers, and postnatal massage therapists in Singapore are one-person operations. We list them all.
